These stunning terracotta planters will bring energy and joy to any setting, with the matt, ever-so-slightly textured finish providing the perfect home for the special plants in your life. Formed from sweet sandy clay, which reveals itself at the base, the body of these planters has been finished in an eye-catching and warm terracotta. The interior and coasters have a clear glaze, allowing the natural variations of the clay to shine while also increasing durability.

Available in three sizes, each fits a standard size plastic pot, so you can decide whether to plant directly into the pot, or keep your options open and use a plastic pot. The planters have a drainage and come with a coaster, which is trimmed on the wheel to create a shallow drip tray.

The planterID range is handmade in my home studio in Mullumbimby. Please note that, due to the nature of the handmade process, there may be slight variation in the size and colours of the finished products.

More information

  • Dimensions: Small - 12cm diameter x 11cm high (fits standard 10cm plastic pot); medium - 16cm diameter x 16cm high (fits standard 14cm plastic pot); large - 18cm diameter x 21cm high (fits standard 18cm plastic pot).
  • Handmade in Mullumbimby, Australia.

All the Jenn Johnston Ceramics pieces are handmade. My work is either thrown on the wheel or hand built, bisque-fired, then glazed and finally high-fired. Due to the nature of the handmade process, there will be slight differences in the size and colours of the finished products. As each piece is unique, the piece/s you receive will not be precisely the same as that in the photo.

I predominately work with stoneware, which is then high fired, resulting in durable pieces, suitable (and indeed intended for) everyday use. The glazes I use are food safe, and handwashing and careful stacking is recommended.
